2011 Sheridan Shore Racing Team
Sheridan Shore Race Team offers students the opportunity to race competitively. Boats used are Optimists (student provided), Lasers (student provided) and 420s. Participants in our racing program study advanced boat handling, tactics and rules. Students also travel to many local regattas and, if they qualify, to national events.
The race team begins practice on June 13 and ends on August 12.
SSSS has 3 Opti's available for Charter for the Race Team.
Practice is Monday thru Friday 1 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Please be aware that there are many away regattas. Due to this, parent involvement is required.
Pro-rating is available in certain circumstances. Please call the sailing school office at (847) 251-1110 for more information.

Sheridan Shore Sailing School
For more than 50 years, Sheridan Shore Sailing School has been proud to offer students a chance to experience the thrill, challenge and exhilaration of sailing. Our courses help instill the skills of sailing and seamanship to juniors, high school students and adults of all ability levels. Classes are led by certified U.S. Sailing Association instructors and feature a low student to instructor ratio. We offer a variety of courses designed to match differing interests, abilities and ages. The Sailing School uses the facilities of Sheridan Shore Yacht Club which is located in Wilmette Harbor. The Sailing School is a 501 c (3) not-for-profit organization and is open to the community.
